Two musicians meet at Hershey Violins. Carl Iba violinist with the Harrisburg Symphony and teacher meets Nikolai Mortorff (14), student from Red Lion Ares Sr. High School yesterday at Hershey Violins. Carl came in to pick up his bow rehair while the Mortorff family was busy choosing a fine violin for Nikolai to buy for his next big move to a better violin. This was a great moment for Nikolai when he made his final violin choice and to meet a professional musician Carl Iba. A great day for all.

Katherine Tess (Cherry Hill, NJ). Katherine was attending the West Branch Music Festival when her instrument fell and cracked her top wide open! She came to me for an urgent repair request. Since this was her only instrument, I repaired it within two days.

Arthur Fiddler visits with Hershey Violins. This little guy is making his way around the fiddle shop these days. Arthur is a 30″ professional marionette with 20 strings used to operate his fiddle, blinking eyes and eyebrows. I performed with him and 5 other puppets a few years ago. Other stars will be posted shortly. Stay tuned, Elton, Liza, Phantom and Elvis are in the theatre.

Angelo Monopoli and his wife Andrea Lydzinski of Cento, Italy visited Hershey Violins to talk violin making and techniques. Angelo is in his first year apprenticeship with master maker Benito Tosello where Angelo has finished his first two violins and is continuing his training. Angelo and Andrea enjoyed their visit with us and offered to have us visit Italy as their guest in the future.
